Weekly Product Report: we can write in LinkedIn!
Another week pushing a feature that depends on many things we can't control. This time, we bring good news! We are determined to give you control of your professional data, so we are integrating Manfred with other big platforms. Well, maybe we are not "integrating", but building our own connection to allow our users to update and retrieve their information whenever possible. An integration will come sooner or later.
After many weeks of laborious manual tests, we can finally write consistently in someone's LinkedIn profile, opening the door to updating (and importing) information in your LinkedIn profiles. We are still far from perfect, we are learning how to improve our feature on a daily basis as we run tests, but the cycle is almost complete.
What are we doing?
Due to restrictions in the use of LinkedIn's API, we need to simulate the navigation of the user in LinkedIn's web, so we can synchronize a user's profile. This requires going through some user paths and making some "pauses" in the interaction, otherwise we will be "attacking" LinkedIn if the number of concurrent users was too big.
It looks like this:
Hiring - Xuntanza
Maybe you have checked our blog in Spanish and you know about it, but we are hiring a lot of people, again. Both our Scouting and Product teams needed some extra hands and during the summer we are welcoming more than six new fredders to the team.
One of the biggest additions will be a Technical Support Engineer. I will wait for his own presentation post, but we are thrilled to have a member of the team specially dedicated to your requests, doubts and suggestions. This will free up more resources in our own team and improve our overall capacity.
See you next week!
